The 2023 AHED engaged the Information Systems & Technology industry in Houston. The IT industry has been one of the thriving industries globally. It is an industry that has permeated all walks of life, and our community has had its share of the workforce in this industry. In Houston alone, over 3000 Africans have trained as IT personnels, and essentially transformed the wealth of our community. In celebrating this thriving industry, Afrocentrik Honors for Excellence in Diaspora shone the spotlight on this industry at the inaugural event with the creme de la creme of the tech industry converging at the GSH Event Center to celebrate their accomplishments.
